DISA Coolers Type KS and KU
Some processes create high temperatures of the off gases, too high to be handled directly by filters. The KS and KU coolers have been designed to reduce the gas temperature to levels where low cost filter fabric can be used. The modular cooler system is suitable for processes with high dust loads. Even sticky dust can be handled because the automatic chain cleaning system keeps the heat transmission on the calculated level.
The KS cooler combines the advantages of a heat exchanger with a coarse separator, and benefits are low investment costs, great efficiency, high capacity and a minimum of maintenance. In the KU version, the cooling air is preheated to prevent corrosion within the cooler by ensuring that the cooling tubes remain above the gas dewpoint temperature. The level of preheating is adjustable to suit actual gas conditions.
